If you’ve been admiring western upholstered furniture you love and want to create something for yourself but feel too intimidated to start, or you’ve watched a hundred tutorials but never felt confident enough to dive in, this is for you.

We take it step by step. No guesswork. No judgment. Just real learning and real progress.

You’ll Learn:

• proper upholstery techniques step by step
• padding and support systems
• fabric layout and application
• decorative nail application & finishing details
• how to avoid beginner mistakes

Workshop Options

One day bench workshops are scheduled each month and chair and private workshops are by invitation/appointment only.

One Day Bench Workshop

Designed to be completed in one day. A great introduction to upholstery or just a fun day of learning and meeting new people.

You’ll Learn:

how to assemble and upholster a bench
fabric placement and alignment
foam and padding basics
clean corners and professional finishing

What's included:

Bench kit and the use of all tools required.
You will have the option to choose when booking between black metal legs or wooden legs (2 color options available)
Coffee and breakfast snacks provided. BYO lunch or purchase within 2 minute walk of the venue.

What You Need To Bring:

Your own fabric choice (minimum size 46" x 26"). Or you can purchase your fabric at the workshop (there will be a limited range of leather, cowhide and fabrics available).
If you wish to add fringe you will need to bring this precut (bench dimensions are 37"x17")

Do you need your piece shipped back home?

We can arrange for your completed piece to be shipped to your home.

This will be quoted and need to be paid before or on the day of the workshop.

Chair Workshops - By Invitation Only

A premium intensive chair workshop. Bring your own frame ready to upholster or enquire about purchasing a frame if you are flying in.

These workshops will vary in days required and skill level to meet demand. The paid membership community will get priority access and at times the spost will open to non members who have previously taken a workshop or course with me.

Private Lessons (Limited Availability)

For those who want fully individualized instruction and a deeper dive into upholstery.

Ideal if you:
• have a complex piece you would like to work on
• want intensive one-on-one guidance
• are working toward professional skills

Private lessons may complete some chairs in only 2 days that usually take 3 days in a group setting.

✈️ Traveling or Flying In? You Can Still Do This.

Many students travel to attend, and you don’t need every detail figured out before you book.

Most secure their seat first, then we sort out the logistics together.

Options for Traveling Students

Fly in and use a shop-provided chair
Available for select workshops.

Bring or ship your chair frame
Some students ship them ahead of time or bring it with them.

Ship your finished chair home
We can help coordinate shipping your chair home after the workshop. Students cover shipping costs.

🤎 Traveling Alone? You Won’t Be the Only One.

Many students come by themselves.

They couldn’t find someone to go with them.
They weren’t sure what to expect.

And then they came anyway.

By the end of the workshop, they’re sharing meals, swapping stories, and cheering each other on like old friends.

There’s something powerful about a room full of people interested in the same craft, willing to try something new.

Workshop Cancellation, Rescheduling & Transfer Policy

We understand that life happens. Because workshop seats are limited and preparation begins well in advance, the following policies help ensure fairness for all participants while protecting the small-group experience.

Refund Policy

All workshop registrations are non-refundable.

Your registration reserves a limited seat in a small-group, in-person workshop. Once a seat is booked, it is no longer available to other students.

One Day Bench Rescheduling
One-time rescheduling is permitted with at least 14 days’ notice.

Seat Transfer Option

If you are unable to attend, we will do our best to resell your spot.

Once the spot has successfully been resold you will receive a refund minus a 15% cancellation fee.

No-Shows

If you do not attend your workshop and have not arranged a reschedule or transfer, your registration will be forfeited.

All Other Workshops

If you or your group are unable to attend 21 days notice must be provided and you may be able to transfer your date - pending availability.

No refunds will be issued.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are scheduled separately and follow their own booking terms.

No cancellation or transfers with less than 14 days notice.

Cancellations will incur a 15% administration fee.
